The soprano has a broad repertoire that includes both classical operas and modern musical theater productions. Since 2013, she has made guest appearances at the renowned Komische Oper Berlin as Papagena in Barry Kosky's globally successful production of “The Magic Flute”. As this production caused a worldwide sensation, she had the opportunity to perform this role at the Guangzhou Opera in China.

As Lisi and PingPong, she was part of the children's opera “Jim Knopf”, played the glow worm Finn in “Mikropolis”, played Hahn and Hanna in “Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten”, appeared as a gnome in “Die Zaubermelodika” and was a soloist in the award-winning “Selam Opera”. Her versatility finally led her to the Semperoper Dresden, where she took on the role of “Schneewitte”.

She has also performed at the Berliner Ensemble, Staatstheater Cottbus, Theater Kiel, the Guangzhou Opera in China, the Salzburg Operetta Theatre, Theater Gera/Altenburg, the Glatt Castle Opera Festival, the Terme Dicliazioni in Rome, the Volkstheater Rostock, Theater Nordhausen, the Landesbühnen Sachsen, Theater Halberstadt, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Theater Annaberg-Buchholz, the Sommeroperette Heldritt and the Serkowitzer Volksoper.


Julia Domke is equally at home on the concert stage. This season, she can be heard in Mahler's “Des Knaben Wunderhorn” with the Gera Philharmonic Orchestra. Past concerts have taken her to the Impulse Festival, the Contemporanea Ensemble in Rome, the Dresden-Venice Music Podium under the direction of Stefano Montanari and Ivano Zanenghi, the Warsaw Operetta Orchestra at the Gewandhaus Leipzig and the Salonorchester Berlin at the Berlin Philharmonie, the Thüringer Symphoniker, the Elblandphilharmonie Dresden, the Vogtlandphilharmonie, the Ensemble AUDITIVVOKAL Dresden, the Residenzorchester Dresden, as well as live performances at the HOPE Gala Dresden as a substitute for Kathy Kelly and live on TV in the Carmen Nebel Show.


Even during her training, she achieved 4th place at the International Nico Dostal Competition in Vienna, received several 1st national prizes at “Jugend musiziert” and was awarded scholarships from the Berlin Orchestra Foundation, the Dresden Talent Foundation and the Dresden Cultural Foundation.


Her musical education began in her hometown of Reichenbach in Vogtland, where she discovered her passion for musical theater at an early age. After graduating from the Landesmusikgymnasium Dresden, she studied classical singing and vocal pedagogy with Prof. Christiane Hossfeld at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden. Master classes led her to Prof. Regina Werner-Dietrich, among others. She is currently taking private lessons with Prof. Edward Randall.


In order to deepen her basic skills in acting and camera acting, she completed further training in Berlin. She then continued her training in Los Angeles. Julia Domke has appeared in several indie films and short films presented at international festivals and has received several awards for her performances. She has also appeared in commercials for companies such as Bayer. In addition, she has appeared in music videos in which she used her dancing skills.
